I wanted to give a quick status. The project is moving forward and I will have more source to commit very soon. I'm working to get the basics going, like creating accounts and entering transactions. Then I will add more features like budgeting and reports. After that I will add a bit of intelligence to begin helping users manage their finances.
I've narrowed down the architecture to .NET 3.5, SQL Server Express 2005 with Advanced Services and Castle ActiveRecord using NHibernate. I'm using NUnit for unit testing and currently using Visual Studio 2008 as the IDE.
That's it for now.
